thanks for the info. what size tap did you use to relocate the water inlet fitting? For plugging the existing hole did you use a brass plug?
I am still cleaning up the boiler, the brown coating has still not come off fully. still a small amount of scaling. I will be putting it back together today to see how it runs.

Thanks again. I put it back together and made a dispersion plate out of aluminum and the shower screen works much better, but does not trickle like yours, I will to drill out the hole once I get a chance. Tested it just to see and no channeling, just comes out faster
Remember I also have a dimmer on the pump. That pump in the OWC is a brutal beast and puts out much higher flow than a lot of newer pumps. I leave it running on about 1/3 to 1/2 power --- so that is another reason why my shower screen dispersion looks so nice in the video. It also saves on your ears - that OWC pump is LOUD. Much easier to listen to when running on the dimmer at half.

so far i've done the dispersion disk, drilled out the exit hole, and added a dimmer.
I tried it before with the dimmer and the pump goes really slow, it seems that the water comes out of the shower screen for a bit then is either sucked back in or just stops. It will start up eventually but sometimes will gurgle (this is at the dimmer about half way). I cannot get a steady flow every time if the pump is less than full power. I have not tried it after drilling out the hole, will try that today. Any ideas?

I was looking at options of putting in a permanent temp and pressure gauge on the same machine. Any clue on what the hex nut on the bottom of the 3 way solenoid is for? Part #10 in the diagram? I have a suspicion I might be able to thread in a dual temp and pressure gauge after backing out that nut.
