Same for the Silvia. I think they just don't want amateurs backflushing. Some dummy always finds a way to hurt himself, regardless of what type of machine is being serviced.
From what I saw in the group head of this LeLit after only one year of one-shot-a-day use, I'd definitely recommend AT LEAST removing the group screen once every 2 weeks and soaking it in detergent along with the basket. (Check if you can see through all the holes in your screen and basket). Backflush at least once a month after cleaning under the screen, and descale once a year.
