Cut a piece of your double side tape and place it on your blade.

Place the blade into the star wheel on the side of the wheel that will be pushing the coffee (the forward side of the wheel when it rotates) The blade looks long here but it will be just fine. The one inch side goes side to side and the 3/4 is the height of the blade.

Here the paper "blade" is just set in place to show how it fits into the star wheel, it is not against the proper side of the star wheel, look at the next photo to see proper placement.

The real blade in place on the star wheel, I used a small screw driver to press the blade forward and to get the tape to stick to the inside of the star wheel.

Looking at two of the three blades in place, the third is already in the star wheel but is out of view.

EDIT, here you can see just how much space is between the star wheel and the metal plate, it looks like the fingers on the star wheel are slightly bent up, they may be but I would not try to bend them down as the wheel is made from cast alum and it can break pretty easy, then you would be worse off than if you had not tried to mess with it. Heck, it is your part and go ahead and try if you want but you can't say I did not warn you!
END EDIT

Here I am holding the star wheel in place against the spring pressure of the upper wheel so I can easily screw the adjuster nut down to hold the assembly together.

This is what the blade looks like when installed in the doser, from under the doser through the exit chute. If you look close, you will see that there is only a small edge of the blade below the lower star wheel, the lower wheel both holds and supports the blade while the upper star wheel pushes down on the blade.

I placed the above posts in the order I did to keep the train of thought in one flow. Now if you need to remove the doser the following pics will show what screws you need to take out and what you need to do to remove the star wheel.

These are the upper two screws that need to be removed, these are slotted screws or they are on any doser I have worked on so far.

If you remove the window from the doser housing, note the alignment of the window cut out to the exit chute from the grind chamber.

These are the two bottom screws you need to remove also to remove the doser. On this doser they were hex key but I have seen slot screws here too.

Here the doser is off the grinder and it is much easier to do the mod with it off.

I had removed the window to repair the doser and I replaced it due to the old one being broken, here is the new window next to the doser.
