I removed the steam wand from my Silvia and went to the hardware store to find a compression fitting to adapt the wand to the pipe fittings.  Here is the result.
This thing does realy seem to be a steam monster.  As you can see from the picture it is still a bit clunky.  There is a bit of refinement to do. The valve is too close to the regulator which vents steam as it jiggles.  I had to wear welding gloves to operate the valve.

So far I made my wife a hot chocolate with this thing.  It blows away the Silvia. I think I am going to like this thing. I have the three hole tip on the wand.

As I play with this thing I will be refineing it. First off the valve will have to be located farther from the pressure regulator.  Also the ergonometrics will have to be tweeked to better fit into my setup.

Now I have to decide wether to get a replacement wand and valve rebuild kit (its time) for the Silvia or pop for the new upgrade wand and valve.

Thanks.

With water at a depth of 1.5" in the pressure cooker and the 11500 BTU burner on full it takes about 5 minutes from a cold start to get steam.  That is for sure longer than the time from brew temp to steam temp on the Silvia, however turning the burner on before even grinding for the shot  I can now pull the shot then steam immediately just as if I had a double boiler machine.  I would have thought the 11500 BTU burner would be able to keep ahead of the steam wand.  It is close but it does not keep ahead. If the regulator is jiggling before I open the steam valve it will slow down within about 10 seconds. The steam output seams to remain good however.  Within 10 seconds of closing the valve the regulator is jiggling again.

I am still a long way from being able to pour latte art but the texture of my milk is improving.
