Does the steam wand for the Silvia (http://www.espressoparts.com/R_1054) fit the Saeco Aroma?  How easy of a mod is this?

Frank,
Sorry I don't have any answer.  I'm anxious to see if there are any responses to your question.  I'm looking to replace the panerallo with a real steaming wand.  In the mean time, I'll keep looking and let you know if I find any info.

Hello, i`m also trying to figure this out ...

I think there are two possibilities :

  1. to attach some extending tube instead of panarello with better tip
  2. to replace whole steam wand

maybe you have this exploded view of machine :

i had it opened once (problem with loose thermostats) and i think it would be possible to replace the wand.
we need to clarify the size of fittings and "position compatibility" of optional wands first i think

I agree about the fittings.  The wand on the Aroma is definitely detachable, but I'm still not sure about the size of the fittings and whether the Silvia wand would fit through the hole in the body of the Aroma.

Please post any info you find on the size of the fittings.

Thanks, that'd be great.  There seems to be more info on the Silvia, so I think we can find out what size it is.

i have checked the diagram again and maybe the part 36 could help us. I think there is a mistake in diagram, because steam wand is attached to outlet which is facing down on part 41.
you can see part 36 here - O-ring 2025.

http://www.partsguru.com/SaecoAromaHomeEspresso.html   -> Exploded diagram Re- designed SIN 015XN

partguru is selling these here :

maybe this can tell us something about the size of the fastening nut. anyway, i`m going to open it tomorrow.

heh, first photo indicated as spam, let`s see what does the system think about 2nd . . .

Here you can see steam wand attached to part 41

Opening in the body is right under steam outlet from part 41.
