Watching it in operation is even better than the still pictures!
I still love that machine!
I have a lead on a 2 group HX machine being sold "for parts" for $100, I may just need to buy it and let my wild side run wild like you did. The only thing about that machine that I am not sure of is that it has a 9l boiler. Heating over 2 1/2 gallons of water for a 1 3/4 oz drink sort of feels a little excessive LOL :P

The Museum of Modern Art New York would kill to have this thing. As would I. Amazing work.
If you could enclose the insides making cut outs for the view of the boiler and access to the water jug I bet you'd have a modern classic and a mass market for your invention. Ok, ok, admittedly I am single, and it might be a very specific market, but nonetheless.

I have seen your machine on a few different sites and I just wanted to AWESOME!! I don't think most people realize the ingenuity required to make that machine what it is. Thanks so much for sharing.
I'm restoring a Bunn ES-1A as well. Not going to attempt what you have done but I have a few things in mind. I'd like to add a temperature thermometer to the group. I was wondering if you can let me know which port on the top of the group you used and how did you affix the probe? Did you have to make something or did you find some fitting? Do have any close up pics?
Thanks again, your work and machine are inspiring!!
