I couldn't find this info anywhere. I just bought a USED Gaggia Coffee DeLuxe, no 3 way valve. If I put in a blank screen, would enough pressure buildup to open the Over Pressure Valve? I wanted to test if it was working. I thought if I took it apart to clean it after reassembling I would not know if it was set at the correct pressure since I do not yet have a pressure gauge to test (I will make one soon). Thanks Alot. This has been the most informational web site I have ever come across.

Defenitely should open if it's not completely clogged. If you do this I wouldn't do it for very long, just to make sure everything is OK.
Have you visited the Gaggia Group site? If not here it is..... http://groups.yahoo.com/group/Gaggia/ Lots of great people on there that know alot about Gaggias.
There is also a thread on CoffeeSnobs in which there is alot of talk about checking the group pressure by measuring the flow from the OPV. Not as accurate as a gauge, but will be OK to get it close from what I've read. Later!
