Subject: Chute Modification for 'chuteless' Capresso Infinity. **solved**

Hey all,

Ok, I now have a Stainless Steel Capresso Infinity 565 burr grinder, and it works wonderfully with my Starbucks Barista machine.  Although using the grinds bin is no big deal, i would love to be able to have a chute that would pour directly into the porafilter.

Does anyone know of any mods to achieve this?  I am thinking of ways to affix a chute to the hole where the grinds come out.  Also, I was thinking of attaching a spout to some sort of objects (like a block of wood).   That way, I can place the block of wood in the grinder where the grind bin would be, and the chute would be married with the exit hole perfectly...

Here is a pic of the hatch now.... HERE

Thanks in advance for the brainstorming...

Matt!

******EDIT - UPDATE******

Ok, it just so happens that the cavity of the grinder where the grind contain went fits the portafilter PERFECTLY.  Even with the WDT cup in place (I use a trimmed pudding cup containter).  There is literally no spillage, or missed grinds!

This method would require me to time the grind if I had a full hopper, and check on amount - but I just put 3 tablespoons of beans in the hopper for each double shot - so I just grind the entire contents at once no clumping...

Here's a picture HERE

I'm a happy boy!
