I was having problems with my coffee on my gaggia classic coming out way too fast, found a discussion which explains how to adjust the valve....took care of that and got the coffee to come out perfect BUT!! ( of course there is more..) now I can't get any steam, it seems I can either get a nice slow shot and no steam, or a lot of steam and coffee that shoots out the side at full force...is it the valve thats bad or am I missing something else? Thanks in advance for any help! P.s After few attempts I did take the valve apart and cleaned it out real good.

I'm having a similar problem with the coffee coming out too fast on my Evolution, my lousy beans/grinder/tamping technique aren't helping but I sure would like to know what valve you tweaked! Claire
