Vinegar is fine but slow requires more rinsing time. We use citric acide when descaling machines in house, where we completely dissassemble parts for soaking. Parts look beautiful in just a few hours.

So far, we have not had issues with blockage on any descaled part.

I notice that The Original Manual says DO NOT USE VINEGAR

I use it and it works but i imagine the seals might suffer
