Hi dears, can you please help me with my dilemma? I am deciding to establish a mobile catering unit and the most important question is: what brand for coffee machine? Izzo Pompei 2 Group (gas powered) Commercial Coffee machine VS. Bezzera B2000 AL2 (gas powered)...? why is the price for Izzo double comparing to Bezzera? (due to better quality???) any help will be more than appreciated!

The Izzo should not be twice the price, only about 20% more expensive. I think the retailer you are using is perhaps pricing badly and you should look around. The Pompei is a very nice machine though.

Both machines sold by a UK site, as you can see the price difference is not that much.

I bet there is not more than a very few that can say that so I would be inclined to take it at face value.

Yes i have a reason for leaving SCG off my list, yes it is my opinion, yes it is subjective as opinions are by definition, no don't start a flame war because you disagree.

Offering my .02 cents (American).

See if you can find an experienced technician close by for either machine. If your machine is down (inoperable0 it's money lost.
Also, checking to see if you have a grinder. As you most likely know, the grinder in many cases is MORE important than the machine.
For durability, the larger Mazzers (Major, Robur) are hard to beat. They are TANKS.

Blessings,  and Best of luck!

I owned a Strega for 2 years and own a Pompeii for the last 8 month.
They can,t be compared.
Pompeii kills the Strega
ThevStrega uses the same group as the b200al?

How is the Strega "better" compared to the Pompei?  In your review of the Strega it was a pretty darn good machine.  I am seriously considering a Strega but will compare to the Pompeii, Londinium and Achilles as well.

The single group Pompei, a fine machine costs nearly twice what a Strega costs.
The Strega is kind of it's own animal, and anyone wanting to investigate it can do no better than Jim Schulman's "Strega 2nd Look" videos on HB.

A 2 group Pompei should (IMO) be considered a fully COMMERCIAL spring lever machine, especially at the 4k+ price.
Most likely, the L1, QM Achille and Bezzera Strega, while full sized singer commercial group levers would not be categorized as commercial, in the cafe sense.
That said, I saw a YouTube video of a cafe, and a fellow pulling shots, making drinks on a Strega. If that's the case, I would guess the other machines would be serviceable as well, though the QM's boiler size (4.5l) seems like it could handle the load a wee bit better.
FWIW, I own one of these machines, but not the IZZO.
I would be proud to own any (and all!! LOL) of these machines.
