I don't own that machine, (one day I hope) but I was thinking for that amount of money I would rather have more power. (Tim Allen grunts here) I just wondered out of all of his offerings what one was the correct one for the USA if I did not want the 110v one. I imagine someone else might have the same question....

Well, it is 2400 watts.
Talk with Mr. Gunson, but I believe a new heating element and a 220 volt outlet are what you'll need. Not sure about the pstat and other electrical components.
Yikes...I think I'm losing my mind. I was thinking VOLTS...please shoot me. As I am a mod, I can delete my dumb post above, but I WON'T, if only to prove stuff happens! :>D

BANG! But thats OK, we all make mistakes :-)
The 220v version can be had with the 2400w heating element, and from what Reiss says it is nothing more than swapping the plug, the heating element and then provide 220v and nothing else. I would question the solenoid valves and the LED's.

I can honestly say that the biggest complaint I have about the L-I is the water wand. Good for filling a demitasse cup but not good enough for tea water as it gets pretty splashy when left on for more water. It takes a gentle hand to get a cup of hot water. My GS/3 is a super water dispenser, but the machine is 3 times the price too!
