No worries, Raymond. We've all done one like this. :>D Would you like me to remove this thread? You can repost if you want to start a discussion of the Express, more in the nature of "Olympia Express...opinions?" Most here prefer less hyperbole, or just plain hype when referring to gear.
Raymond, the Olympia Maximatic is an excellent machine, but (as you know) it is not a lever machine -- that would be the Olymic Cremina, and many people here own one. Some people own more than one -- say, a Cremina 67 and a Cremina 2002, for instance. I, myself, own an Olympia Cafferex -- a model no longer produced -- from 1989.
But the one thing that many of us have learned over the years is that there is no such thing as a single "best" or "finest machine" out there. There are any number of great machines out there, and while some are certainly (and objectively) better made than others, what is the best machine for any single individual is the one that suits their needs better than any other machine (and grinder; let's not forget the grinder!).

And you, Raymond, have obviously not read my entire post -- as I have yours . . . or, at least, you don't bother addressing anything I've actually said.
Raymond, I am not trying to get into a "pissing contest" with you; indeed, I refuse to. If you wish to stay on CG, or if you wish to go, that is up to you. Personally, I hope you'll stay, as I am sure we as a board would benefit from your knowledge and experience, just as you would from ours. But ultimately, it's your choice whether to stay and participate, or whether to leave and sulk, isn't it?
