When you all are pulling shots on the new L-I please try the technique of standing on bathroom scales so you can measure the force necessary to pull a shot. That method seemed to make sense to me and nobody has Posted anything about the pulling force in real numbers.
The difference between your actual weight, which we do not need to know, and the weight when the shot is being pulled. I would bet it will take two people for the reading.

I'll definitely try it though my home scale is notoriously bad. I've been looking forward to tryingit! I'm very curious to know how the 2-spring versus 1-spring power pans out, both from compression effort and from resulting pressure and taste. I also don't know if the L1 uses the same spring as the traditional 1 spring bosco setup or something different.
Hoi Chi Ng over at Coming Soon Coffee did some Scace testing with the normal Bosco and show it was maxing at 6.55 bars (~95 PSI) downforce. Quick Mill seems to say that the Achille generates 11 bar on a blank, but I'm not sure how that compares to testing with a Scace. Making bold and naive assumptions, put me down at a guess around ~21 lbs of force.
The thing I've noticed is that in Reiss's videos of the L1, he doesn't use two hands while most videos of the Achille ones show two hands.

(edit: there's a thread somewhere talking about the different pressure characteristics of blank (tire gauge) v scace for measurement, but I can't find it. The 11 bar on a blank filter is more than likely a lower number on a scace. Thinking about it, I'd up the downforce in my guess, but it's all made up, so why bother :)
