Subject: La Pavoni Europiccola Pro Green Light Problem

Hi there all,

Brand new to this...just purchased a pre-Millenium Europiccola Pro 16c on ebay.  Unit gets hot to the touch after turning it on, but the green light doesn't go out.  I've read that the light is supposed to go out when the proper temperature is reached.  Even if I leave it for 20-30 minutes, the light doesn't go out.  The pressure gauge gradually reaches its way up into the middle of the green region, somewhere between 0.5 and 1.0 bar.

Anybody had this issue before and/or have any ideas about where I should start to address it?

Thanks much,
Hans

What if you continue to heat it up?

I have a 16C post-Millenium Pro and the lighted switch does not got out. I believe that the lighted switch is on the 8c's because they don't have a gauge. The light goes out, the system is at pressure, while on the 16c's with a gauge the gauge shows the system is up to pressure on the switch stays lit showing power to the unit.

Hello again,

Thanks to both of you for the replies.  Good to know that I'm not alone with the continued greenness of my power switch.  Flathead1, do the pressures I listed (0.5 - 1.0 bar) sound about right when compared to your machine?  Just curious.  Any other particular advice to add regarding the 16c pro?

Many thanks,
Hans

yes the models with a red switch and green light above
will go on  and off

the models with a single( double to be technically correct)
green switch will always stay on  even the the pressurestat kicks off
of course the light should go off when the switch is turned off

An odd thing happened to me today with my pre millenium... I have a two switch (red/white) and the red light went off today. I've never noticed before, but I didn't think it did. Does it and I just never noticed?
