A friend has a great looking old machine called Cappuccino Amore, but can't use it because he can't find a portofilter gasket that fits. He's tried gaskets that look similar and has even tried making one out of leather and rubber, but the espresso staining his kitchen walls after the explosions have convinced him he needs the real McCoy. Can anyone offer any help? Where to find such gasket?
I just got the same machine and the best possible source may be here. Doug (from that company) just got an Amore and is currently developing gaskets for it.
Many thanks for this. I sent a note to Doug telling him I need one of these guys...assuming the more interest he gets, the more likely he is to jump into making some. I also looked at your other post. Great pix. I'm going to bring them to my friend with the Amore [who doesn't have internet access].
