Hey everybody, Can someone post a pic of the bottom wiring on their Cremina? I put mine back together but I want to double check it. I am not sure about where the small brass washer around the switch on the bottom was and I had to take a guess. Well, lastnight when I cut it on, after about 30 minutes I notice a thin smoke coming from the machine!!! I cut it off and pulled the power ASAP! after it cooled down, I turned it over, removed the bottom plate and saw what had happened. It seems that one of the plastic wire jackets that connect to the boiler had melted for some reason? So I removed the it as it was now a melted mess and useless anyway, then I plugged it in and all was well. However, I am not comfortable leaving it exposed if it gets that hot! All I can think and remember, is that when I did take it apart, I was not able to slip that jacket perfectly over the wire connection agin. So perhaps that is why it melted? Any thoughts would be most helpfull as always! btw, the wire I am talking about is the one that has 2 red wires that meet up together and connect to one of the element ends coming from the bottom of the boiler. I hope that helps!
