Maybe my latte art skills arean't as hopeless as I thought...  Either that or I just got lucky...

Here is my second latte with my new Millenium (the first one tasted great, but looked more like the amoeba that I usually pour!).

This one is at least recognizable as a heart/rosette.  Top view pic in the next message...

Here's the top view... It took me a couple of minutes to find the digital camera, so the foam had started to break up a bit, but you get the idea...

I'm already loving it!  I think his karma is influencing my latte art!

Thanks, Dom...  Personally, I think it calls for more talent! :<)

Eric... I don't know what your coffee budget looks like, but I think you're about the same age as my daughter, (she's 15, almost 16), so I can guess... :>D

If you have a Goodwill shop or a second-hand shop of any kind near you, you should check it out.   I've found poppers, small espresso machines and all kinds of stuff.  You may be able to find a straight-sided pitcher if you look long enough.  Also, I've seen them at our local Bed, Bath and Beyond store, but I don't remember the price...

I haven't been doing too many milk drinks lately, but I had to try again the other day. The picture is lousy (the autofocus on the digital camera was not working for some reason), but you get the idea...

Ron,

Not bad at all for someone who tries to pour latte art in a tall glass.  I don't think I could do it with just a few tries when I started with the latte art thingy.

If you want to increase the odds for pouring a perfect Rosetta, try a 10 ~ 12oz wide mouth latte mug, and use the magical "ultra-pasteurized" milk.

Cheers,

Steve
