I have been attempting latte art for a couple of years and was able to, on occasion have a decent pour, but with little consistency and not very impressive results.  My new Alexia and Vario rekindled my desire to make great tasting and looking coffee so I went back at it with new motivation.  I scoured this site for tips and techniques, and set out with a gallon of milk and a pound of coffee to see what I could do.  It turns out it was something relatively simple:  I was pouring way to fast.  Once I figured this out my pours immediately started to improve.  I still have lots of work to do but I am feeling much better about my technique.  Thanks again for all of the great info and any critiques would be greatly appreciated!

awesome!  I've been pouring too fast ever since I got into it.  for whatever reason, I still have trouble making myself pour slow.  It looks like you've had better success than me.

Nope. Double in a 9 oz cup.  I like to taste at least a little bit of coffee. :-)

Beautiful!  I am now officially jealous!

Thanks for sharing about slowing down. I believe speed is my problem also.

The art thing has been a humiliating experience for me but I am not giving up!
