This is my first post here, so hope this information will benefit other people. I have spent a lot of time investigating whether or not one can produce reasonable latte art with a Nespresso machine and found nearly no information online. So I eventually decided to try and see for myself. After several months of practicing, I decided to share my experience here. First of all, attached is a sample of the results (comments welcome). Short answer is: Yes, you can produce reasonable results. Long answer: Everything is much harder than on a semi-automatic machine, like a Silvia. The micro-foam is also typically thicker so affects the results. Here is what I used: D290 Nespresso machine. This is one of the only ones that have a frothing wand. Extra wide cup. Standard milk pitcher. Make sure to put in freezer! Since the frothing is less precise than most machines, this gives more time to achieve reasonable micro-foam. A lot of patience!! I eventually replaced this machine with a Le'lit. I achieve much better results on the Le'lit, but it is hard to tell if this is now due to skill that has improved, or the better equipment. In any case, the move to a machine like Le'lit does make you appreciate the consistency and simplicity of what Nespresso were able to build. However, nothing beats the smell and taste of fresh ground coffee.
