lol...it's ok.... and yes, i am using a milk thermometer tip. I try to work as quickly as possible to its most available to grab. Really, if you have artistic abilities, the sky is the limit on what you can do. But keeping it under a certain time and making sure of the coffee's quality is most important. My most fave for etching is in a breve, the art stays on the top fairly long.... and less likely to get ruined by the cup moving when walking it out to a customer. (which we do when business is slower) I love reading peoples thought on the art and "tricks" if you will.....I never knew I would love being a barista so much. And how its opened up that creative side I had let go of awhile back. Heres the latest for presidents day:
nice! i think etching wins the art contest hands down.
i'm not a customer, but i think a miles davis and/or frank zappa etching would make a sweet avatar. ;)
