It's been sometime since I've posted anything up but someone told me I should post up these video's as a good example of everyday kitchen pours into a four ounce cup. They aren't my best and they aren't my worst, regardless they sure did taste good.
Today's pours, a mixed bag of seven pours into four ounce cups:
Finally, here's a ridiculous parody of old school Kung Fu movies that I was put up to as part of a dare by some of my pals at GCBC and yes it's the inside joke. No editing, no Kenny G background music, no special effects, no fade in's or out's and certainly no budget - just a five minute long A to Z of the entire espresso process (with an uncooperative tripod):

Hey, Shaun, I reckon somebody's been inspired by Joe Bob Briggs (famous for his drive-in movie reviews with ample use of the -fu suffix). Don't worry about political correctness now, y'hear? That's coming from an Asian, too -- I once appeared in a real kung-fu parody movie; it was so mind-bogglingly bad, I've forgotten the title (not "Kung Pow" -- that was way better!)
The video itself was OK, but maybe a little long for a latte art contest -- for that, I'd have just given them the pour itself. But I loved your use of the bent paperclip for WDT! Heee-yaaaahhhh!!!!
Joe, I can hardly believe your response video was done in just a day! Very entertaining -- I was almost going to send it to my girlfriend who teaches for the Academy of Art University film dept. -- but it might just confirm her suspicion that we are all quite insane! :) So this is what happens when Texans get espresso machines, eh? The mind reels!

The -fu thing started between Joe and I quite a few weeks ago over at GCBC and we've been having a lot of fun with it.
I think you are right, the vid is probably too long for the contest but I wasn't overly concerned with how it placed, in fact the pour itself certainly wasn't my best. I just wanted to get something out in one take and push it up right away to start bugging Joe with it. Plus I got to kill two birds with one stone as some guys (from elsewhere) have been asking me to put something up for a while now so they can see what I do in the way of an A to Z in the kitchen with more of a focus on the front end rather than the back end.
Obviously, Joe deployed a small Hollywood set with rented costumes and stunt doubles. I'm a bit embarassed for him as that really isn't Joe but rather it's his twin brother, Joe is hiding in the coat closet off-camera. A weird sort of rumor going around right now is Joe got his neighbor to pull the shot and pour the art, which kind of makes sense since Joe is still new to espresso. ;-)
I see you are doing the Blue Bottle thing, nice. Certainly one of the top 10 latte's I've ever had was at Blue Bottle last Fall as we were heading down the west coast on our way to Texas.
