Subject: Capresso 565 not working: need to push bean container to get grinding to start

I am finding that I need to apply pressure to the back of the  bean container to get the grinding process to start.
I am the first one to admit that I have not been perfect with cleaning it so I suspect maybe is either out of alignment
or perhaps something is slightly gumming up the works.

Is there a simple way to open this thing up without breaking it?  Being out of work; I can't really afford to get i professionally looked at.

Thanks
Jim

How long have you had it? I called Capresso and they were top notch. After my Infinity stopped working I thought it was a jammed bean or something along those lines so I tried a blast of compressed air and two ball bearings came out. The guy on the phone said that would be impossible without first removing the bottom burr. They emailed me a UPS label, I boxed it up and shipped it out yesterday. They said they would fix or replace the unit. Can't wait to get her back I am having to use my Cuisinart that I upgraded from and damn is it loud.

My grinder is out of warranty so that is not an option.

I actually figured out what was going on based some other postings and plain old trial and error.

The bean container is supposed to snap in place. There is a o ring type of mechanism that it snaps into with a couple of plastic tips to hold the container in place. As best as I can  figure it out; its an additional safety mechanism to prevent the grinder from being turned on accidentally.
It seems one of mine had partitally  broken off.  Once i put some tape over the partially broken tip; it started working.
Not a perfect solution; but a step above what I had previously.
