Hi friends, seem like we have many Vario owners in the forum. I just sold my Virtuoso and bought a Vario (in China, it's unfortunately very expensive), but have been very happy with the results so far. I think the espresso already tasted much better (pulled a shot at macro setting at 2 and micro at C).
Just wondering if you guys have any tips on best utilizing the machine. Does it require a calibration (I calibrated my virtuoso before)? But out of the box it's already doing an excellent job.

No adjustment will be necessary if it is grinding well for you.
2-c is a good location if it is giving you good pulls at that setting.
Mine runs at 3-h to give me the pull time I am after. They are all going to be different but as long as the grinder scale settings (macro/micro) are not set all the way in either direction you should not need to change anything
