I'm not used to having a grinder with a dedicated on/off switch. I kind of worry about wearing down the power switch by turning it on and off multiple times every day. What do most of you Mazzer folk tend to do? Better to just leave it on 24/7? Does it draw much power when it's on but not in use?

It's a fairly heavy duty commercial quality mains switch. Replaceable as a spare in the extremely unlikely event you'd ever have to. Can't imagine it draws more than a tiny amount of power needed to energise the digital components, and when it is switched the amount of power through the contacts is therefore tiny as well. I'd switch it off when not in use.

FWIW, in seven years I have owned my Mazzer Mini Electronic Type B, I have always turned it on and off before and after grinding, and to no apparent ill effect. The pilot is an LED and should last a very long time.

I have the Mini E, but the Type A, with the push button "doserless" dosing. I learned early on to turn the machine off between uses. Otherwise, an inadvertent tap to the buttons results in a heap of ground coffee in the tray (if the machine is left on).
