I have the same machine as OP (will be upgrading in the future) and am also looking for a grinder. I really want a grinder-for-life but would like to keep it below $300 USD if possible. I've read lots of reviews of the Pharos and people love it. But most of them have done the voodoo mods which bumps the cost up significantly. Is the unmodified Pharos really good enough (for espresso) to make me happy until I can afford the mods?
you can use the Pharos un-modded, just depends on if you'll like it or not that way. No middle ground, people either think its a pain in the ass to use and get grinds out, or with VooDoo mods much better. It produces an excellent grind quality though. If your making a few drinks or have people over you may want to pull your hair out, otherwise its so far above any electric grinder in its price range and reall under a grand for that matter.
