Or is the difference just in the logo plate? From the images I can find online, it appears that the finish is different, with the Rocket branded mini being considerably more attractive, but could someone confirm this to be the case?

Tricky to say. I presume the Rocket is polished stainless steel ?
Polished aluminium is a slightly different colour from most types of Stainless steel used for espresso machines.
As far as I know all Mazzer grinders are an aluminium alloy casting underneath, so I doubt they'd be making a fully stainless steel one for anyone, and my guess is that the Rocket ones are actually the polished alu. ones anyway.
The polished ones do look very nice. I imagine quite a bit of work goes into getting the finish that good (hence the higher price).
