Hi everyone, we will be looking around for a new commercial grinder for our resto. I'm interested in getting one that has no ground hopper, that has the amount that you want to go in the PF, press a button and the coffee goes straight into the PF.   I think that Cimbali and mazzer have one.....any recommendations?
thanks

Any price point to work with?  Expected volume of shots daily?  Need for Decaf or just one type of bean?  What machine will this be paired with?  How experienced will the operator be or none at all?  Answering these questions will help a lot.  Popular choices are:

La Marzocco Swift
Compak K10 or K8 Fresh
Mazzer Electronic Robur/Kony/Major or Super Jolly models
Mahlkonig V30 Vario
Nuova Simonelli Mythos

Check out the new Baratza Forte grinder. Zero waste, coffee Drops into the PF, grind by time/weight, either.
It's totally adjustable in seconds, so you can grind anything from the finest espresso to a coarse ground for french press.
Baratza's customer service is also above and beyond.
www.baratza.com
Just use the drop down menu under "Flat Burr grinders."
