Try using a rubber or metal camera lens hood. they come in various sizes but unfortunately they only come in black.

Go to the main website and use the Search box at the top and just type in Dosing Funnel. 2 of the three hits will be what you're looking for. For the colored, flared-out shorter funnel it's $18.50; for the taller, straight sided one called Ipanema it's $32.50.

Here is you a link. I have one. They work well and work well with the WDT. I too tried the yogurt cup and didn't get along with it too well.

I love the OE Ipanema funnel. Works great for me. Helps contain the mess. Terrific for WDT.

I use a clear plastic 9 oz cup with the bottom cut out not one of the red sippy cups, been using it for about two years. It fits perfectly within the basket on my Quick Mill Andreja Premium and I use one of the 18g baskets from VST which I got from Chris Coffee

Also, does anyone with the OE funnel have any comments about it and/or know if it will fit under the chute of a Tranquilo or the dimensions when inserted in a 58mm porta?

I have Click Here (www.orphanespresso.com)  I am not sure if that is the same one you are talking about or if you mean the shorter more flared one.

It adds exactly 30 mm to the height of your portafilter.

Yes, I know it is expensive but it is a solid piece that I should never have to replace and it looks good too! ;)

I have had this funnel for a couple of years and really like it.  Me being me, I just had to modify it.

I beveled the top so there is a gradual flow into the PF Basket.  I polished the inside and outside of the funnel for less grounds retention through static cling.

Works fantastically.
