It is not about grind size only. I was addressing the need for fine steps, or stepless, to tune your shot. A Rocky used to be often recommended and does not have the adjustment necessary to keep your shot dialed in unless it was modded to stepless. No offense was meant about Pressurized or Fake crema, just information. I was only trying to point out that Encore is not recognized as a good espresso grinder on this forum from what I have read. Encore works because pressurized is not grind picky, but produces fake crema. You can in fact depressurize your PF, but should not without a better grinder. Presico is one of the least, or the least, expensive grinder with espresso capable adjustment. I bought mine about one year ago after researching here on CG.
The EspressomyEspresso link is still great learning :)
Sorry for the delay, I haven't been able to get around to visiting the site over the last few days. I did purchase from Zoes-Stuff. It was new, in the box with everything, just as they said, and it also included the newer of the 2 faceplates. As for the purchase date, the seller suggested the actual date that I purchased it from them, so that's what I will go with if I ever need warranty support, and hopefully it works out.
