I just wanted to say "thanks" for all the information found on these boards.

I *never* would have thought a grinder would make such a difference in my espresso, but WOW!

The Vario W is my new friend!  My sister will now gain ownership of my Breville Smart Grinder, which did seem pretty nice itself.

It will be neat to see the flavor change once I upgrade my machine :)

The Vario-W grinder "upgraded" your machine!
But YES, upgrade-itis is in your future.
Happens to us all.

Just a quick question...

The Breville is still within Williams-Sonoma's 90-day return policy.  Is it okay to return it for a refund?  I don't want to seem like a jerk by returning it, but the Vario just has much better results.

:)  The Vario is staying for sure!  I'm just not sure if I should return it or gift it to my sister!

maybe you've said in another thread...but...

I don't understand why returning anything to a major retailer would make you a jerk.  I say...get rid of it.  If you want to get a credit at WS for your Breville and have a couple $k to throw down with it, they carry the Electra T1 sixties.  Other than that, I haven't seen anything "coffee-related" in their store that I would buy...'cept maybe a Nespresso aerocino frother for travel.  So if you can get the cash, even better.
