Came across this the other day, any idea of value, the guy want $275.. it runs, just has on off switch, crack in hopper needs blades and sounds like it needs new bearings....otherwise a brute.....!built in 10/10/ 94 tipo90 or SM90 I figured more like $150.....thoughts??

bad bearings, walk way unless you really want a project to keep you busy. The rest can be dealt with but motor bearings is major work. Even for free unless you have a grinder just like it and you need a few parts to fix your GOOD grinder. YMMV!

I would not want to sink more than $300 into the entire project (including the cost of a new set of burrs). SM90s are fine, but very low on my list of used 6xmm commercial grinders. Everything about them is OK, and for $300 and some lost counter space they are a good alternative to a Baratza, as long as you single dose. Still, if you can put a bit more money or a bit more time into finding an SJ or K6, I think that would be a better bet.
