OK, I did it!
Step by step:
Removed top of doser, snapped off fingerguard, then removed the two top bolts noting the location of the lock washers (on each side of chute).
Removed doser assembly by reaching inside the bottom back of doser with a long screwdriver and removing the two screws towards the body. Bottom of doser better left alone, a springloaded surprise looms under the cover:)
Flipped upside down, removed base, unscrewed the old PF holder. Used two bolts to temporarily reattach the base, if not it will pull on the wiring.
Put the backing plate over the large hole left behing the doser, scratched the markings and drilled using a 5/64" metal drill bit. Screwed in the tiny sheet metal screws/washers from EspressoParts, taking care to take a turn back every few turns or risk shaft breakage.
Took an automotive bone tool and scraped off the old gasket, then Goo Gone-d the leftovers (it smells so good daddy, says 5yo son:) After that rubbed with alcohol.
Took the anti-static screen and bent it carefully using the curvature of the body wall as a template. Peeled off adhesive from new gasket and stuck the mesh centering it over the hole, paying careful attention for the bulk to fill up left lower corner, the stuck it onto the body over the hole.
Mounted new chute, then snapped the fingerguard back.
Flipped it again, attached the Mini-E PF Support/holder, with a twist, I put some Customcargrills.com neoprene rubber edge trim over the edges, put a Velcro square over the PF contact point on the body too.
While at it got thick neoprene sheets, 3 of them, and built up a solid base with cutouts for feet, now the entire bottom is antivibration.
The new design square grinds tray I ordered looked like xxxx, I am keeping the old one, much more elegant and giving the entire ensemble some balance.
Gone are the klickety-klack days, the whirring is less loud, and I swear my 6PM espresso tasted better, OMFG not another white night:(

So how do you like your converted Mini? I've been contemplating this mod for a while but I haven't seen a write up for some time, so I figured people were over it due to clumping, static, etc.
This was a well written guide to the install and I'm curious how you (and others) feel about making the switch to dosserless. Also, how do you deal with grounds retained behind the static screen?

I'm very happy with my converted mazzer. With the static screen installed correctly there is no clumping or static build up. Before the conversion I used to blind dose but there was wasted grounds, particularly when other people used my machine. I've helped two friend convert there Mini Mazers and they love having it doserless. The grounds retained behind the static screen are minimal.

Thanks for the reply. Is there any problem with the fit of the funnel? On the 1stline site it has this disclaimer for the E-ST8B funnel: "Please note that we can not confirm nor guarantee a fit of this item to any other Mazzer or other manufacturer grinder." I believe this is the same funnel as on the espressoparts site. Please let me know if I am mistaken.
