Hi everyone! 1st post! Could I get a grinder for espresso and drip? Other than a Baratza. Are they the only company for an all around grind? Thank, Bill

They are the only ones who have figured out how to get both ends of the spectrum to be good. Many grinders say they can do it all but either they are better at espresso or drip/press. Each end requires different KINDS of grinding, good luck in searching for another maker.
BTW, what is it that you don't like about baratza?

The best solution for me. Two grinders.
For espresso: Ascaso I-2 at $239.20 or the even more economical Ascaso i-mini I-2 at $229.00 For the rest: Capresso Infinity $89.00 Total: $318.00 - $328.20
Absolutely comparable cost to that of Baratza Preciso $299.00
I've had a Cuisinart DBM-8 for a long time, and it seems that the Capresso Infinity is similar enough (flat burr) that it wouldn't be worth the trouble of replacing my old Cuisinart.
I wonder if there is really that much of an improvement from the Cuisinart DBM-8 to the Infinity. What's your take?
For me the grinder makes a big difference in espresso making where the grinder does more things than just grinding. It is really a part of the process. For the other brew methods plays a much less significant role. So if the Cuisinart DBM-8 serves you well I do not see any point of going for the Capresso. Honestly, if I knew the Cuisinart DBM-8 and its price I might have used this one in my example above. My point was why someone to look for one multi-purpose grinder and not for two where the non-espresso grinder is the low price one.
PS In my example the $89.99 Capresso that google landed me has conical burrs.
