Espresso: Pavoni Euripicola Grinder: Baratza Vario Drip: Chemex

I've had my Vario a few years now, and suddenly I'm getting this issue where the grind adjustment bar on the right side (i.e., the gross adjustment setting, not the fine one) won't stay set to the finest setting but slides down toward the course end as I grind.
Just for my information. Do you frequently use the grinder for other types of coffee preparation (i.e. french press)? I always thought that the micro slider would have been more vulnerable to this small annoyance (not a problem really).

i do sometimes use it with my chemex, set to medium. to me this is more than a small annoyance, because it results in an uneven grind. although i suppose i could tape down the slider or hold it in place as it operates.
My bad english. I just used the term annoyance for indicating that is a known problem which can be easily fixed. You are absolutely right, the grinder can not be used with the slider(s) moving. If you contact Baratza people, I am sure that they will provide you with any necessary help.
