Posted Thu Feb 7, 2013, 9:00pm Subject: What are the CM50 capabilities after OE bearing mod?
So I ordered the OE bearing for the Skerton / CM-50 (I have the Kyocera). I know that I will lose some of the fine grind capabilities, but how much? I am confident that I can get the burr adjusted correctly to get the max out of it.
I grind primarily for Aeropress, and 3 notches from zero is my current setting. Grind has the approximate consistency of Splenda sweetener. Will I be able to go that fine after the mod? I have a French press for when I entertain and that is why want to be able to go coarser.
Also, for those who grind through the modded CM-50 for press, what is your preferred setting in notches from zero?
