Hello, I'm new here and desperate! I put the tiny plastic washer from my Hario Skerton grinder in a safe place and i've now lost it. Does anybody know what size it is or where I can get something like it from so I can replace it?
I've searched around and found lots of posts on modifying Hario Skertons but that's beyond me at the moment (I'm a complete newbie) so I'm just looking for a basic replacement part for now.

If you go to your local home supply store, look in their fastener aisle. They usually have a section of specialty fasteners, and within that section is usually an entire selection of plastic fasteners and washers. Pretty much any plastic washer will work, so long as the size is close.

Go to home hardware, Home Depot or Canadia Tire and grab a regular steel M8 size washer. Fits the same and will last forever! Still capable of "powder" grind.

is that what you were saying before to nake the grinder stepless? Have a Hario Slim around so that would be cool to do to have a back up or just play with for grind.
