Hi, my Rocker grinder is starting to lose it's ability to tune the grind setting. For grinding espresso, the setting I dialed in was approx at 10. I've got a V60 dripper and a Clever now so I adjust the setting up to 35 for those grinds, then back down to 10 for espresso. I use the grinder for both purposes (maybe I shouldn't?). However, the grinder gets really tight now at 14-15 and I can't go lower to produce a finer grind for espresso. I've opened her up and carefully scraped away all the buildup (wow, was shocked at the accumulation of grinds) but that actually, surprisingly did not help. Anyone have any advice or recommendations? thanks in advance.
Probably needs more cleaning...there's a great pictorial guide on thoroughly cleaning Rocky but, I can't remember if I saw it here on CG or on www.espressomyespresso.com
thanks for the idea, saw the link on espressomyespresso and found the guide. cleaning out the burrs and removing coffee buildup in the rings did the trick.
