Posted Thu Dec 20, 2012, 9:19am Subject: My Vario is sick
Hey CGs, after long months of no issues my Vario started to show 'end-of-year' exhaustion. I start grinding and even though the timer is still running down the burrs simply stop, then, after a couple of seconds, they start again grinding and just like that until the timer gets to zero.
I tried to search the CG forums for known similar issues but no luck.
I usually keep my burrs clean so I doubt it is a cleanness problem.. May be the motor ? Belt ? Gears ?
Any suggestion before I strip the grinder out in pieces ?
Your problem could be the safety switch that engages when the hopper in installed, you could try twisting the hopper clockwise a little tighter to see if that makes any difference. Just a guess.
