Hey guys, I am looking for a grinder for a Rancilio Silvia.
Obviously the Rocky is highly recommended, but i was looking at a Nemox Automatic Pro. I cant find a whole lot of infor on these grinders, so was wondering if anybody on here knew anything about the Nemox, anything at all really.

The Rocky is not really highly recommended for espresso, almost every recent post on here mentioning them recommends something else. The steps are too wide for tuning in a grind for espresso, and there are better, more adjustable options for espresso use around the same new price (e.g. Baratza Preciso or Vario grinders, particularly the refurbs, various used options, some stepless espresso only grinders like my Ascaso I-1).
The Nemox looks to be a dosed small commercial grinder that retails for more than twice the price of the Rocky. While I can't say it can grind well for espresso, it looks to be stepless, and designed specifically for espresso use (e.g. portafilter fork, built in tamper), which are promising signs. However, the specs also says that it keeps at least 30g of coffee ready ground in some kind of internal doser, which is not a good thing unless you're making doubles every 5 minutes or so.
Around the $200 to new Rocky price ($340?) though, I'd be looking at a Baratza Preciso refurb ($240) or Vario refurb ($340) or a more well known used commercial grinder, given the lack of information.

Having owned a Rocky before for several years (and used it alongside my Silvia)...I would say, no, don't waste your money. I would NOT buy another Rocky if I could have a do over. I'd get a Baratza Preciso or Vario or a Macap M4 or Mazzer Mini, or a Compak K3 touch, or K10 fresh or a used Mazzer Super Jolly, or a whole bunch of other grinders.

An ebay seller seems to be dumping a bunch of "Nemox Aromatic Pro" grinders for way below retail. Most are selling for less than $100 plus shipping (see attached).
Has anyone picked one up or tried one out in the past? I am guessing it uses the same conical burrs as the well-regarded Nemox Lux, but would love to hear some first-hand accounts.
