• The grind size is adjusted by a "micro-step," adjustment. To clarify, the hopper seat turns, just like on the Mazzer, but instead of locking just anywhere, it has to move in ~1mm increments. I can say without question that the steps are sufficiently close enough that you can attenuate your grind just as you would a stepless, though much more easily in my opinion. The arbitrary numbers on the gear are also useful to some extent in remembering certain locations. I would like to see a more robust locking mechanism than the plastic gear stop, but it seems sturdy enough, and easy to fix if necessary.
  
• The programmable timer is nice, you can adjust down to .01 seconds, though Im not sure it would reflect any significant difference in the cup. Adjustments are easy to program, and a manual grind can accessed by pressing both single and double dose buttons at once. Though this last feature is tricky if you slip on the timing of  you finger placement.
  
• The doser is nice, works well enough, no grind retention visible.
  
• The hopper has a nice seal on it, and is pretty sturdy. Its made of a heavy plastic with the sliding lock in case you need to remove it from the grinder with beans in it. I had 1st-line send the grinder with the shorter hopper ant it makes the machine stand at 17.5inches tall. The hopper can be locked in place by a screw in the base.
  
• The cord is placed a bit inconveniently on the left side of the machine, but this isn't a big deal for me.
  
• The PF holder is nice, and it looks like there are other options available from Quamar's website.
  
• The machine is pretty quiet, quieter than my brewtus, and definitely quieter than my ascaso i-1d.
  
• The machine is quick, an 18g dose is delivered at around 6 seconds, though Im still fine tuning these settings.
