hi, i have rocket cellini evo v2, and macap M4 grinder. i'm happy of my choice, but i don't have experience for grinding coffee. I think I have find the right level of grindind, but sometimes, suddenly, the level of grind change, and i must find the right level of grinding. i have micronometric stepless regulation, and the grind regulation change until one spin. it's normal? thanks for answer. carlo
I have two Macap M4 grinders. As I understand you, your grind adjustment is slipping, such that without doing anything to the grinder, the setting changes on you. If that's what you're saying, this is a problem with your grinder, and you'll want to either return it (if it's still under warranty), repair it yourself, or have a professional repair it. I've had my older Macap grinder for several years, and have never had that problem...not even once. My newer one has also never done that. If I've misunderstood your problem, can you please try to explain it a little better?

you had understand a problem. so my macap needs of frequently regulation, almost every 2 days. the adjustment ,approximately, move of one turn of key of regulation. the ground result one times very fine, and one time very big. how i can repair the grinder? macap is under warranty but for me is a problem to shipping the grinder, beacause I buy it very distantly. can I repair it? how? thanks very much. carlo

Just to make sure the grinder really is having a problem. As the beans age, you need to continually adjust the grind more fine. The rate depends a lot on temperature and humidity. I adjust mine every couple of days, usually about 1/4 - 1/2 of a turn (a "turn" being a full 360 rotation of the screw mechanism). Again, how far you have to adjust is related to the beans, grind, shot, etc. If that's all that's happening, you don't have a problem with the grinder. Also, when you finish what's in the hopper and add fresh beans, you may have to turn it back several rotations to get it to the right spot. I have used beans that required three full rotations different settings, even when both were fresh the same length of time after roasting!
As for repairing it...unfortunately, I don't have much experience in that field (another reason why I thought you might want others to be able to get involved in the discussion). I wish I could help you with that part...if you even do need it.
