Worst case - it's a K6 from just around 2000. The $260 you just paid for it on eBay is a good price as long as the motor is working well. If you are lucky it might be a K8 or a K10. Regardless, if it's in good condition it's easily worth what you paid for it plus the cost of new burrs . I loved my K6 (a lot more than my SJ). It was responsible for producing the only real god shot that I have ever pulled (an experience that was luck and pretty much ruined all subsequent shots for a long time, I've spent the last year readjusting my tastes and expectations down so that I can now again enjoy a good shot). I'm not saying that it's a god shot making machine, just that it's more than capable to making excellent espresso.

Thanks Russel, i dont know about the seller though, i emailed him around noon yesterday asking about the model number, with no response back i just bidded on it, still no reply, im thinking its pretty old, the tamper thing is mounted on the doser instead of molded like the new ones are, is the only difference between k6 to k10 the burrs and i guess the weight?
