I hope you're right.  I've placed an order for a Preciso... fingers crossed.

Arrived quickly.  Looks like I'm going to have to do the calibrate thing on it, as it seems to start grinding fine enough for espresso at about setting 1D...

That was super easy.  Nice and fine now.  Great to see the range built into this thing... I think I like it.

Yeh 1D would be way off lol, what did you end up calibrating it too? Are you going by the lines or actual step clicks (some forget to count the steps lol).

It came calibrated to the maximum coarse setting.  I recalibrated it to the second screw in the fine window.  Now it seems to be happily grinding fine.

Add another happy user to the list of growing Baratza Preciso owners.

Like some say, a lot of people who have good luck never post anything, but all the only posts that do get posted are the people with problems.

I've been very happy with mine. Not so happy about burning through half a pound of beans to calibrate for espresso.

+1 to this. I owned a Preciso before moving to a Virtuoso simply because I was not using the micro function (now someone else is happily using it for espresso as it was intended to be used). If you look at reviews for either grinder, it seems that most people are complaining about an issue or problem they had. If you look at the number of reviews and then think about how many people out there (coffee shops included) are using Baratza grinders, it's a very small number of people that are actually posting on here, amazon, or elsewhere about issues. In addition, Kyle and the whole crew have always been quick to address and fix issues as they come up for all of their grinders. They have done nothing but stand behind their products.

Enjoy!

A week and a half in, and I'm super pleased.  Huge difference in performance from my machine now.  Very noticable.

It is amazing how much the grinder makes a difference.  I could see it when I moved up to the vario w.
