Anyone have experience with fetco grinders? This loos like a larger commercial grinder and I would like to bid on it but a little concerned if it will work. Not too much info on the auction site.
Fetco Coffee Grinder, Model GR-2.3, 120-Volt, No Power Cord, Works
There is also this coffee pot that looks good but not sure what does everyone think?
Curtis Coffee Maker Gemini System Model 6121L with (2) Stainless Catering Style Pots
I know these are commercial systems but I'm looking it them to put in with my small nano brewery, and I want to have good coffee and espresso. A lot of coffee shops repo products go up for auction I just want to buy good stuff and I know fetco and Curtis cost a lot new but not sure on their actual performance and value.
Scott, did you do a Google search of this grinder? If so, you would have found that this is probably a nice grinder, apparently retailing in the $1600 range. However, it also appears that this is a COFFEE grinder, not an ESPRESSO grinder. It is designed for volume bulk grinding. I notice you are asking this question in an ESPRESSO forum, so if you are looking for an ESPRESSO grinder you may want to look elsewhere. You have to ask yourself, "Why is the power cord cut?" Verdict: This grinder does not make the cut for espresso. Do a Google search and find out for yourself... always a good idea before posting a question on the forums.
As an overall comment to quality, I have second hand Fetco and Curtis equipment, and I can say without hesitation that the used gear is just as good as new if properly cared for. They are fairly easy to maintain and repair if you are at all mech savy. Used commercial gear is a very good bargain with careful shopping.

Wayne, just to clarify Im not doubting the quality of fetco; their reputation for quality commercial equipment is there. Only that I don't believe said grinder to be a proper choice for espresso.
