Subject: mazzer mini doser troubles, help!

hello friends
I have a 6-7 year old mazzer mini. It would occasionally not "catch" when I would be trying to dose, but a couple extra pulls on the lever didn't really bother me. Now, it doesn't catch at all, and when it does, I have to pull the lever with a lot more force.
Can anyone help? Is there a gear that isn't engaging? If I manually try to push the inside of the doser fins around, it moves, but is not freely moveable.
Please let me know what I should do. Are there any links to exploded diagrams out there?
Thank you
Alan

well, I may have posted too soon. I moved the grinder to a spot with some light. The bottom of the doser was uneven, so I tightened one screw on the bottom, and it all seems fine now. That was easy....

I had an doser lever advance problem on a Rancilio Rocky before I moved to a Mazzer Mini.  I have not had any troubles with the Mini to date, but I believe the doser advance mechanism works in a similar fashion to the Rocky, in that there is a spring, which catches on a star cam, and the spring advances the cam and returns the doser lever to the return position.  On the Rocky, the spring broke and no longer returned the doser lever to the start position.  I have found that the Mazzer parts are of a much higher quality than the Rocky, so would be less likely to break (not saying it can't happen though).

For future reference, EPNW has an exploded parts diagram for the Mazzer doser, see below.

Yep, Mazzer doser looks just like my compak dosers, pretty common design, kind of dumb to have 1 screw hold most of it together though.
