I just wanted to make sure my Preciso isn't messed up. I'm grinding very fine, and yesterday the burrs were spinning but nothing was grinding. I thought it might be a jam (although a jam would imply they can't spin) so I unplugged it to move to a spot where I could empty and clean it. When I did that, the hopper sort of shifted and made a click sound, and it started grinding again.

This is my second Preciso; the first one had a bad adjustment ring and was swapped out through warranty, but when it went bad it was grinding coarse. But I don't really have the best confidence now so I wanted to check in.

You say that the burrs were spinning but no grounds were coming out. How do you know they were spinning if there were beans in the hopper? Are you sure you weren't just hearing the sound of the motor running?

Oh, I guess I could have heard the motor spinning. It sounded like the high pitched hum that i hear when i run out of grinds.

I know that their new gear box will stop the burrs from running if jammed to keep the gears from getting busted and to keep the burrs from getting roughed up. Maybe this is what happened with your machine? Has it been working since?
