While continuing to mess with my HC-600 I noticed something that I had overlooked. The pf fork is off center to the left. A small detail, but significant given that the major complaint about Mazzer dosers, both amongst home users and pros, is that they make a mess throwing wide to the left. I made the following video of a big fat dose being thwacked into a 51mm LP PF w/ a OE dosing funnel. I know that this is hardly representative of regular dosing use, but I no longer have any 58mm machines. I will try it without the funnel to see how that goes...

I have talked to a couple people about borrowing their spare burrs, but nothing has materialized. I will put out a request on the BTS forum. If you aren't in a rush, I would hold on to it, maybe give it a week or two of use and see how it does in the cup. If you do so I would love to hear your opinions.

Holding onto things is why my wife's mad me lol. I have a mini b, vario, larenzato, 3 cimbali jr, and a bunn 1 lb HD.. I want to thin the collection, maybe get A Pro-m

I asked and the CG community answered. Tiep was kind enough to drop an old set of SJ burrs in the mail. In the photo below the worn SJ burr is on the left, the less worn HC-600 burr is on the right.

I am sorry to say that my first attempt to seat the SJ burrs failed. As mentioned elsewhere, the HC-600 bolts just didn't fit. I don't remember the position of the holes on the Mazzer carriers relative to those on the burrs , but the holes on the HC-600 sit way at the outer edge, and seem to just barely fit the Mazzer burrs. The bolts on my HC-600 don't seem to be of the highest quality and the heads are off center. They are tight fit on the original burrs as well. I will have to track down some other bolts...

The PF fork on the Mazzer mini I recently picked up can be adjusted to sit off to the left as well. I'm not sure when they introduced this feature but thought I would throw it out there. Anyone else notice this?
