I've recently aquired a Casadio Instantaneo grinder, I'm really happy with the grind quality and the very precise dosing. There seems to be very limited information on this grinder anywhere on the net, and I'm wondering if anybody has access to a manual for this grinder. Its not the sort of machine that you can simply adjust as you'd expect, with dose changes done by complicated multi-button holds and power on's, not unlike setting pre-infusion on an espresso machine. After trawling through many German websites for the only apparent information, what I'm really wanting is some simple instructions on setting the various parameters. I believe the manual grind is activated by holding down both 1 and 2 shot buttons simultaneously, but on my machine this does nothing but bring up a series of 000's which incrementally increase for as long as held.
Any help appreciated here, before I throw this grinder out the window.
Because despite the grind quality, the user interface is horrible. I cannot get it to manually dose, so if the dose is short one has to waste the amount of the programmed single shot just to top up. The machine allows you to adjust the 1/100 sec setting whilst on, but in order to adjust the 1/10 major setting you must power off and restart holding down 2 buttons. Just a bit tedious, unless I've got it completely wrong and am no wiser due to the lack of documentation.

Troy, Casadio is part of CIMBALI group, and really it is difficult to imagine that you cannot get enough information: had you addressed their site, instead of trawling through many German sites, you would most probably have gottten all the information... Ciao, Pietro

I own one of these and I agree with you about its grind quality - however it's certainly no beauty.
I'm not sure I have a manual to go with it, I'll have to dig in the attic for that - however you're right holding down buttons 1 and 2 gives you manual dose. I use manual dosing most of the time. You have to press them exactly at the same time.
The only time mine gives the timer adjustments is when you press the buttons very quickly after power on.
My problem with my grinder is adjusting the grind size can be hit and miss - when I move between different batches of beans. Can take an age to dial in a grind. I turn the adjustment and don't get any change and then all of a sudden the grind jumps to be either to big or two small.
