I think the answer muct be right in front of me. but I can't seem to find it. I have a Mazzer Mini, maybe 5 or 6 years old. Household use. Last week I roasted some new beans, from Tom's, I think they were #4 Dextral Side-slip. The beans seem too large to slide between the sleeve that holds the top grinding burr, and the bolt in the center that holds the bottom burr. I have cleaned and re-cleaned. If I adjust the grind so that the beans go down between the space (above), then the grind is very coarse. I reground some of these, and they were fine. I was thinking it could be the new beans, but maybe just a coincidence. The burrs could be worn, that would decrease the level of the top piece that holds the burr. I have looked at the exploded view, and I don't see any parts missing, other than my brain. Anyone have the same problem? Thanks, A.

Here is a photo. I have several, this site only permits tiny ones, so if anybody wants to see larger, I will email directly. THE MACHINE IS SQUEAKY CLEAN. Scout's honor. Any grounds you see are only a day or two old. If I turn the grind wheel to coarser, the coffee beans will drop down onto the grinding area. But then the grounds are too coarse. The only way I see of increasing the space between the collar and the space below, is if the grinding burrs were both taller. hence raing the to mechanism. So maybe my burrs are gromd down and need replacement? I cant post a big enough closeup of the burrs to show you on this site. Once again, I can email. Thanks to all, and to all, a good coffee!

There's no way the Dextral Strike-slip blend should be clogging your grinder because of bean size. When was the last time you cleaned your grinder? The only time I've ever had problems grinding with my Macap M4 is after accidentally adjusting the grind finer without it running, and compressing a bunch of oily beans between the burrs. I had to open it up and scrape off all the compressed gunk before it would grind properly.
